Venue will be the campground La Sousta (www.lasousta.com) located next to Pont Du Gard. The Hare has stayed here a couple of times before and has been very satisfied. Too early to make bookings as they won't have the group prices for 2020 until October of this year.
The accommodations that they have, in addition to camping, are 3 bedroom bungalows with 2 beds in each room and a small kitchen if you prefer to cook. They are all grouped together and next to the large swimming pool. There is also a restaurant on the grounds that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The campground is right on the river Gard where you can swim (in addition to the swimming pool) and you can walk to the Pont Du Gard which is free entry.
The hills are covered with hiking trails so there should be no shortage of suitable hash trails and some great circle locations next to the Pont du Gard.
The large town of Remoulins (with multiple bars and restaurants) is approximately 1.5 km from the campground with a nice walking path the whole way. Probably the location for the Friday night pub crawl and dinner.
The closest airports/trains are at Nimes (Ryanair from Stansted, 3 flights per week) and Avignon (Flybe from Birmingham and Southampton 1 flight per week). These are 20 km away from the venue and there is a bus service called Edgard Bus which takes you to Remoulins if people don't want to rent a car.
An early indication of your interest and accommodation preferences will assist the Hare with the detailed arrangements.
